adcAsociatia pentru Dezvoltare Creativa is selecting 5 participants for the Youth Exchange "(NOT) EUROPEAN? Identity, Integration and Inclusion"- a Youth in Action Project

Are you ready to be part of a European youth super development and discovery experience?

Are you ready to be the ambassador of Moldova in a large European context?

Are you ready to visit four countries and learn more about the other six participant delegations?

Then this is the perfect project for YOU!!!

Intro:

The European idea is in crisis; particularly young people often only associate Europe with economic opportunities and threats, and ease of travel due to open borders. For a more fruitful European discourse, young people need to develop their own ideas, and acquire a voice for contributing them. Our project will allow them to do so, by building up an understanding of the history and challenges underlying European integration, exploring their own and other people's sense of identity in and perception of Europe, and considering prospects and boundaries of its expansion and integration.

In an itinerant youth exchange, 43 participants from 7 countries (Germany, Romania, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Spain, UK and Moldova) will travel for 3 weeks from Berlin (Germany), to Bucharest (Romania), Istanbul (Turkey) and Baku (Azerbaijan).

The participants will learn about the history of the European project, and compare the role and perception of Europe in those countries with personal experiences. Participants will discuss identity and culture/intercultural dimension in Europe, get to know young people and culture of the countries visited and part of the project.

Throughout, the participants will work on 4 media products, a magazine, a blog, a social theatre, flash mob, and a photography exhibition, collating and displaying their discoveries while acquiring communication skills for later use as 'ambassadors' of the European idea. Particular emphasis will be given to individual projects, which the participants will develop during the exchange.. They will need to identify issues that should be addressed either in their own country or across Europe and then be required to develop innovative solutions for these issues. They will be able to acquire project management skills in various workshops, and will be mentored after their return home, so that they can take their ideas further.
